Free throws key to late game success
On Sunday, the Golden State Warriors beat the Miami heat at home to improve to 40-15 on the season while extending their lead in the West to three games over the Nuggets.
The two point game came down to the wire. With the game tied up and 7.8 seconds left on the clock, Kevin Durant put up a three and missed. That’s when DeMarcus Cousins snapped up the rebound and was fouled, drawing two free throws to take the lead.
Cousins showed poise and confidence at the line as he drained both of the attempts to put the Warriors up 120-118. Miami was unable to put points on the board in their last possession, and the Warriors got the W.
